Carlsen had to beat Dominguez to prevent the Cuban from winning this year’s cup in Biel, but only managed to draw. Actually it was Dominguez who came very close to another win; and he starts today’s last round a full point ahead of Alekseev and Carlsen. Read more

From the start it was clear that Magnus Carlsen would defend his title in Biel – but how big would his win be this time, that was the question. However, after pressing too hard against Alekseev, it’s now Leinier Dominguez who leads the tournament with three rounds to go. Read more
