Improve your Chess at any Age
We have just received: Improve your Chess at any Age.
Back in 2008 a player by the name of Andres D. Hortillosa entered the New England Masters. It was a brave choice for an unrated player to compete in such a tough event, but it proved to be an inspired decision.
He exceeded all expectations and was rewarded with a FIDE rating of 2199. This, however, was no overnight success; it was the result of systematic work. How did he achieve such outstanding improvement?
The answer lies in this book. Hortillosa believes that a chessplayer can improve at any age as long as he or she is inspired with the right attitude and enabled with the right thinking processes.
He discusses in detail methods of preparation, how to get the best out of all the available sources, and numerous over-the-board techniques such as capitalizing on mistakes, eliminating blunders, and sticking to plans.
If you are serious about improving your chess, please take a look here.

@ Will.
I glad you are happy when someone goes down.
You have a lot of possibillities to get happy every day!
Is the tittle of his book: "how my rating went up to the top and never came down"?
What's your rating?

Thankyou for seeing the graph and missing the point. I do not revel in someones rating going down, I dislike false advertising.
"He exceeded all expectations and was rewarded with a FIDE rating of 2199."
Now he has completed his first "batch" of games his rating has drifted downwards which utterly refutes the fact he has found a "system" to improve. If they base the improvement in his chess on his rating then he clearly has not improved, in fact it points clearly that he obtained an inflated rating because he was unrated and now is drifting back to his real "strength".
For the record my rating is +2000 and is improving steadily and you?
