This looks like a new hit from the guys that brought you ‘the Safest Sicilian’ (on the Taimanov). It offers a complete repertoire against 1.e4 c5 2. Nf3 for those who prefer a straight fight.
It is based on the Najdorf. All chapters start with a “Quick Repertoire” section: a couple of pages containing all the vital information a club player needs to start playing the variation. The rest of the chapters can be used as a reference book when you want to learn more.
It is a very up-to-date book (editing finished only on February 10, 2007) and the choice of the variations is such that it should be reliable for a number of years.
Don’t miss this book if you are looking for superior guidance in the ultimate sharp weapon against the Sicilian.
