I am curious about Nigel Short as a column writer. Hope he doesn't get too cynical.

Super-sized magazine...hum. When can we see New in Chess magazine on iPAD? That would be fantastic! I For example, Everyman is putting available is books in ebook format. I think, in the modern world having two choices could be great because chess players with lots of books and magazines have sometimes problems with space, I for example do not sign a year subscrition because of this and seeing the magazine on iPAD would be amazing and easy. Why not create a year subscrition in ebook format? Peon de Rei magazine from Spain is now available this way and selling past numbers too!
