Last week in Groningen the top match in the Duch league, between Share Dimension and HSG, was played. In a great ambiance, Groningen had spared no pains or costs to turn the match into a great event. GM Erwin l’Ami analyses… l’Ami-Ninov

From now on, at Chessvibes I will publish an analysed game every once in a while for you. The first game is from Béthune, where I, to prepare for Corus, played an open tournament from the 26th till the 30th of December. Nine rounds, and thus two games a day, made it a tough tournament where I wasn’t convicing enough. In the rounds 1 till 8 I made four draws against players varying between 2400 and 2550. So six out of eight, but a win in the last round still kept the tournament victory in sight. This had to be done against Ninov, a strong master from Bulgaria.
