Unexpected King Move
The Eurocup was held in a pleasant venue in Rogaška Slatina, Slovenia, with several hotels conveniently near the playing hall. The food was also well above average for this event.
Unfortunately the event ended in disappointment for my OSG Baden-Baden team. After winning our first five matches and sharing the lead before the last round it was a dismal conclusion. We didn’t have much luck with the pairings and playing the strongest rated team at the end wasn’t ideal. I didn’t help matters losing with White but my opponent Teimur Radjabov did play an impressive game.

Thank you for the very good comments, to understand the major plans of a high level game. I like this more than a lot of deep variations I cannot follow as average player. Moreover I find it really interesting that Michael Adams choose to show a loss, instead of a win.

I agree with you 100%, a refreshing change.
I would like to wish Micky lots of luck in the upcoming London Classic. As an expat Brit, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the event in person, but I will obviously follow it with interest on the internet. Looks like a good opportunity to pick up a few rating points !
