20-year jubilee Sigeman Tournament bigger and stronger

The 20-year jubilee Sigeman Tournament will be bigger and stronger than in previous years. The tournament, an 8-player round robin, will take place May 9-16, 2012 in Malmö, Sweden.
We just received a press release from the organizers of the annual Sigeman Chess Tournament. This year the tournament celebrates its 20-year jubilee edition, and it will be bigger and stronger. The dates are May 9-16, the location is Malmö, Sweden and eight players will participate; four GMs from Sweden and four international top players. The tournament has attracted additional sponsorship and the line-up is stronger than ever before:
- GM Fabiano Caruana (ITA, 2767)
- GM Peter Leko (HUN, 2720)
- GM Anish Giri (NED, 2717)
- GM Chao Li (CHI, 2703)
- GM Hans Tikkanen (SWE, 2567)
- GM Jonny Hector (SWE, 2562)
- GM Emanuel Berg (SWE, 2559)
- GM Nils Grandelius (SWE, 2545)
It will be nice to see the numbers 1 and 2 on the current Juniors rating list, Carauna and Giri, facing each other. Besides, many will be curious to see how former World Championship contender Peter Leko will do. Li Chao is a talented and creative player from China. The average rating this year is 2643.
Last year the Sigeman Chess Tournament ended in a three-way tie between Anish Giri, Hans Tikkanen and Wesley So. The three GMs finished on 3/5. Alexei Shirov scored 50%, Nils Grandelius 2/5 and Jonny Hector 1.5/5. We made the following video then:
