Najdorf News #3 - 6.h3: A Magnus Carlsen Game

Time for some more Najdorf News. 6 h3 continues to be a fashionable move in professional tournaments. I don't think anyone would pretend that this is the refutation of the Najdorf; it's a pragmatic move, avoiding sharp theoretical lines, but it also contains some menace if Black plays casually - as Magnus Carlsen demonstrated in his game against an online 'World' team in Mexico in November. That's the game I'm going through this week. You'll find more Najdorf News on my You Tube channel, and my DVD 'The Sicilian Najdorf - A Repertoire For Black' will be released at the end of January.

Nice analyze. So many nuances in the opening face. I didn’t follow the live game, so thank you for posting.
