Why do we insist on driving things that weight like a ton?
What can we expect to happen?
If i were an Alien trying to find if human race is ready for something better , and then i see that people on earth drive those unnecesary big metal monsters i would reconsider everything.

Manu, please tell me you know a more efficient method to transport 2.5 children, a dog, and luggage (to hold a week's worth of clothing for all the participants), to grandmother's house, 50mi away, in the rain, snow, or heat.

Zeppelin?

Your example is not representative of the current situation , we cannot continue to give every living person 1 ton of metal capable of such dangerous speeds.
Explain to me why you need such a fast car to transport your family.
No radical solution , but a mix of public transportation , bycicles , lighter taxis , speed limits and thousand more options should be at our disposal.
Im not against transportation ,but the way we create cars is not very wise.

Yes! Let?Ǭ¥s talk about transportation and traffic on a chess site.

A sad news, for more than one reason.

I think we can be certain that actual aliens do not agree with you: it is well known that Mr. Ilyumzhinov has been receiving extraterrestrial advice and he is still driving around in his Mercedes.

I am glad that the 21-year old girl has not been seriously injured. When she is fully recovered maybe chessbase can dedicate one of their photo essays to her.

What makes you think there's only one kind of alien, or that all of them would agree?

Anyway, let's hope Kirsan Ilyumzhinov will recover soon and leave the FIDE even sooner.

Would aliens have arrived at Earth using public transportation? Maybe solar-powered space bicycles?

Manu's picture

I bet they shared a cab.

How fast would the alien spaceship travel to get to earth and and how much would it weigh when it arrived?

Would it ever crash?
