But Carlsen amazingly defied common sense wisdom by catching up before the half way. It turned out to be a very dramatic tournament this year; 0-2 for Kramnik today, Svidler's twists and turns, the appearance of Pirc and Benoni, the return of Chuky, missing Morozevich, last minute replacement Grischuk's good form, Aronian's surprising form, Pono's first blind experience, etc, etc. Thank you ChessVibe for yet another great coverage!
