Corus Press Conference Round 13

Sergei KarjakinWith Sergei Karjakin we have a wonderful winner at this year's Corus Chess Tournament. While Wang Yue was close to beating Carlsen, the press conference started and Karjakin told the story of his tournament to the present media, and then he explained his game against Dominguez. As always, enjoy the video!

(At the start of the video, Karjakin is already talking, but only the first 20 seconds or so of this press conference are missing.)

Thanks for the excellent video of Karjakin. He comes across as very likeable, and I look forward to future contests between him and Magnus Carlsen. Perhaps I missed it, but no one asked him anything about Magnus. Too bad--I think his bright eyes would have lit up, and I can only imagine what he might have replied. As a result of this victory, we can all look forward to some remarkable games between these two geniuses.

Karjakin makes chess appears like something easy...It's evident to me that he had the whole positional & tactical picture of the game, the pieces, the board clear in his mind, as something integrated, not depending on move-by-move approach. I see him as an exceptionally talented, calm and confident player and fully deserved his brilliant achievement in Corus 2009. Thanks karjakin for your "Capablankian" play..!

As I said in other post, this is a well-deserved and fantastic win for Karjakin, but (without analising the game deeply), it seemed to me that the win was in Lenier Domingues hands for a while, and he must have somewhat blundered.
Even if I'm right (for better players to say), that's ok, it's a game, and Karjakin won! Domingues tournament was a very good one also, anyway.
