@thorex:
actually I meant 1.Qh6, say 1....Bd8, 2.Rh4, but... perhaps 1.Bxf6 h6 2.Rh4 works as well

After 1. Bxf6 it seems Black can then win back his piece with 1. ..., h6:
a) 2. Qxh6, Bxf6
b) 2. Qh4, g5 3. Qxh6, Bxf6 and now if 4. Qxf6, gxf4.
But as Black I won't feel comfortable to treat my kingside pawns like that; the above lines are by no means 'refuting' 1. Bxf6.
Perhaps a different continuation is more promising

Why not simply Bxf6?

Why not Qh6 followed by Rh4?

Yes, you are right. The kingside doesn't look good after b) even though I'm not sure how white should exploit it.
Perhaps 2. Rh4 after 1...h6 is also playable. I think it forces the bishop exchange.

@Vosuram
I wanted to respond to MvE's post ;)
Anyway... your 1.Qh6 Bd8 2.Rh4 approach looks very interesting. Perhaps this is the solution, because it is less obvious than 1.Bxf6
