[lang_nl]The Turkse clubcompetitie vindt plaats in Kartepe, ?Ѭ?zmit, van 23 juni tot en met 3 juli, bovenop een berg met prachtig uitzicht op de Baai van ?Ѭ?zmit jongens en meisjes onder deen het Sapanca Meer. Er wordt gespeeld in het Greentepe Park Resort Hotel, bekend als locatie waar Turkse voetbalclubs zich voorbereiden op de competitie.

Op dit moment wordt er geschaakt maar ook spelers van voetbalclub Sivasspor zitten in het resort - het team dat dit seizoen tot de laatste weken meestreed om de titel, met natuurlijk Galatasaray en Fenerbah?ɬße.

Terug naar de schaakliga: zestien teams strijden om het kampioenschap terwijl de laatste vier zullen degraderen naar de tweede klasse.

De opstelling van de Turkse teams is origineel. De teams bestaan uit tien borden, waarvan de eerste vier vrij mogen worden ingevuld. Op bord vijf moet een dame zitten, op bord zes een junior (niet ouder dan 20), bord zeven en acht zijn voor jongens en meisjes onder de 16 en bord negen en tien voor jongens en meisjes onder de 14.

GM Suat Atal?Ѭ±k van ?Ѭ?SEK Aquamatch voert zijn zet uit tegen GM Dragan Solak.

Alleen maar naar de namen van de grootmeesters kijken kan misleidend werken met dit systeem. Een team met twee supersterke GMs kan het onderspit delven tegen een team dat een sterkere groep jeugdspelers kan opstellen. Net als in Nederland krijgt het winnende team twee punten en allebei ?ɬ©?ɬ©n bij een gelijkspel.

De competitie heeft 72 titelhouders: 22 GM's, 18 IM's (van wie er vijf ook WGM-titels hebben), 15 FM's, 1 CM, 10 WGM's, 3 WIM's en 3 WFM's.

De favorieten voor de titel zijn Adana Truva, ?Ѭ?sek Aquamatch, THY (Turkish Airlines) en Doruk Koleji. Adana Truva is een sterk en gebalanceerd team met de GM's Gashimov (hij heeft nog niet meegedaan), Guseinov, Safarli en de Turkse toppers IM Haznedaro?Ñ??lu, Y?Ѭ±lmaz (een 16-jarig talent die al van GM Gurevich won), IM Dzagnidze, WIM Yildiz en een relatief sterke groep jeugspelers.

?Ѭ?sek Aquamatch speelt met het grootmeestertrio Atalik, Papaiannou, Banikas plus FM Demirel en de sterkste Turkse schaakster Ekaterina Atal?Ѭ±k. Het team uit ?Ѭ?stanbul, met GMs Atal?Ѭ±k, Papaiannou, Banikas en IM Atal?Ѭ±k, verloren al drie matches maar wel tegen drie kanshebbers. Bank, is being held in Kartepe, ?Ѭ?zmit, from June 23 till July 3 at the top of a mountain with amazing views of ?Ѭ?zmit Bay and Sapanca Lake. Venue is the Greentepe Park Resort Hotel, famous as a pre-season preparation venue for sports teams.

At the moment, the chess players are there but also the players of football club Sivasspor, the team which struggled for the Turkish First Division title against Galatasaray and Fenerbah?ɬße until the final weeks of the season.

The chess league is a single round-robin with 16 teams. The final four teams relegate to the Turkish Clubs Championship; the second division.

The team set-up in Turkey is quite original: teams consist of 10 boards, in which the first four boards can be filled freely but on the fifth board, a female player is obligatory. The sixth board is for a junior player (under 20), the seventh and eighth are for boys and girls under 16 and the ninth and tenth board for boys and girls under 14.

Seeing the pack of grandmasters could be misleading because of this board system. A team with two super-strong grandmasters may prove useless if the opposing team has a stronger group of youth players. The winning team over 10 gains 2 match points while a tie means both sides get 1 point.
