Playing with Magnus has certainly helped Karaspov. What they results of those games might have been??

Karpov is not in a good shape.
Just remenber the Zurich Jubilee. Lets hope Anatoly regains some strenght. Otherwise this will be a very boring match.

It’s a shame that it looks so one-sided at the moment. I would like to see Karpov roll back the years, but I think that the time control doesn’t favour his style nor his age. Who knows, maybe Kortchnoi might fancy his chances for revenge against Tolya for the other two K’s matches in the seventies ?

That Nf6 by Kasparov was such a beautiful move. Kasparov seems to find those moves with ease and more often then any other player. I’m afraid he will simply outplay Karpov.
And my compliments to the photographer. Those are very nice pictures…

Let’s hope Kasparov will return to playing in tournaments as a result of this match.
