These guys are playing just 7 rounds
There is no Sophia-rule to avoid short draws
Then why do they need 2 rest days and the first rest day coming after just 2 rounds??

I don't think the number of chessplayers' rest days should concern us spectators. They will eventually play all seven rounds, that's for sure.

@ Arne: We don't seem to have the same opinion about the appropriate use of irony. But never mind.

Good to see that at least Gusti was victorious on that sad day for Germany... :-)

The two rest days enable the GM tournament to run with some synchronicity (is this as word ?!) with the Amateur Open, which uses 9 rounds.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Mattovsky. Ever heard of the word 'irony'?
