[lang_nl]Nog steeds zijn we in de perskamer en daarom kunnen we nu al de persconferentie van Loek van Wely online zetten. Shirov treft het niet want zijn nieuwe verliespartij wordt weer besproken. Loeks explicatie is wat korter (hij past in ?ɬ©?ɬ©n YouTube-filmpje) maar dat ligt vooral aan de partij. Tot na de twintigste zet was het allemaal theorie, en daarna was het eigenlijk vrij snel beslist. Het betreft trouwens de openingsvariant die Van Wely eerder op Chessvibes had aangekondigd en waarvan hij had gezegd dat hij dit toernooi iets zou gaan spelen wat ‘niet helemaal correct is maar pas na dit toernooi weerlegd zal worden’.[/lang_nl][lang_en]Still in the press room, and therefore we can already put online the press conference of Loek van Wely. Too bad for Shirov, because his new loss is explained again. Loek’s story is a bit shorter (it fits in one YouTube video) but that’s mainly because of the game. Till further than move 20 it was all theory, and after that the game was decided soon. By the way it’s the opening line that Van Wely had spoken about already at Chessvibes and about which he had said that he would play something during this tournament that’s ‘not entirely correct but won’t be refuted until after this tournament’.[/lang_en]

    Really! A Kramnik – Topalov rematch this soon is unfair ( to Kramnik ) Just Danailov’s way of continuing harassment. Probably better if FIDE allows Topalov to compete in the coming World Championships at Mexico. And, hopefully no more toiletgate type incidents.
