[lang_nl]Na de tweede ronde van het Melody Amber-toernooi in Monaco zijn het Vladimir Kramnik en Levon Aronian die de groep aanvoeren. Zij begonnen uitstekend met 3,5 uit 4. Van Wely heeft het zoals altijd moeilijk in Monte Carlo en hij staat helaas nog op nul punten. [lang_nl]Van de blindpartijen was vooral Ivanchuk-Morozevich indrukwekkend. Een langdurig, interessant eindspel! Kramniks paardoffer op f7 was niet heel erg overtuigend maar het eindspel speelde hij wel beter dan Van Wely. De tussenzet 26...Dc6 was wellicht niet nodig. Carlsen wilde te graag winnen en blunderde met 41...Kf7.

Van de rapidpartijen is Van-Wely-Kramnik zeer aan te bevelen. Loek speelde het zeer sterk maar Kramnik verdedigde zich goed. Wit had op allerlei plekken eeuwig schaak kunnen houden maar in plaats daarvan blunderde hij vreselijk op zet 42. Radjabov miste een remise met 46.dxe7 Pxf1 47.De5+ en wit houdt eeuwig schaak. Leko-Aronian was een mooie zwartoverwinning.

Morgen is ronde 3:[/lang_nl] [lang_en]Of the blindfold games, especially Ivanchuk-Morozevich was impressive. A long, interesting ending! Kramnik's knight sac on f7 was not altogether convincing but he played the ending better than his opponent. Van Wely's Zwischenzug 26...Qc6 was probably not good. Carlsen wanted to win too much and blundered with 41...Kf7.

Of the rapid games, Van-Wely-Kramnik can be recommended for replay. Loek was playing very well but Kramnik defended very accurately. White had several chances to draw with a perpetual but instead he blundered on move 42. Against Anand, Radjabov missed a draw with 46.dxe7 Nxf1 47.Qe5+ and White keeps on giving checks. Leko-Aronian was a nice win by Black.
