@Anon: It may not take much time to publish a puzzle (although I don't know), but what about selecting good ones? Surely this is a very time-consuming affair, witness the many nonsense puzzle books that can be found in any chess bookstore. Unless, of course, you don't care about the level of the puzzles at all. As for the 'core business' comment, have you even looked at any other articles on this site except the video-only ones? If you think the articles on Chessbase are more 'fascinating', we'd love to hear your feedback on what you find fascinating and what not. Because, you see, writing 'fascinating articles' is our real core business, and we always like to improve on this.

Peter: Could you ask via your front page for volunteers to keep running it? I imagine some readers would be interested in this. You could even offer them advertising/link space on each puzzle page as compensastion, something like that.
Btw, to 5th comment anonymous, I think some of these puzzles would take considerable time to double-check they are right, especially ones with hidden tactical points that lead only to +/- positions, that kind of thing. There was one the other week that Crafty thought turned a += position into an = one, and only some time with Fritz shows otherwise! These are not just two-movers after all . . .

This is a real pity. Why is it discontinued? I really loved it, and tried to solve it every day. Please reconsider this decision!

Sorry guys, but at the moment I'm just extremely busy, I'm lacking time and prefer to concentrate on the "core business": videos. The good news is that many of those will be coming right from Bilbao in the upcoming two weeks!

Please keep the puzzle. After all, it's not like you have to compose the puzzles yourself. If you discontinue the puzzle, some of your audience will go back to Chessbase (where there is no puzzle, but many fascinating articles), or to Chessgames, which has a daily puzzle, plus all the recent games you publish (but with better graphics) .

Short of time? A puzzle doesn't take that much time to publish, does it?
As for your "core business" of videos, real chess fans want analysis, of course, but not necessarily some inaudible narrative in broken English. I think you are overestimating videos.
