Strong Reggio Emilia this year

This year's tournament in Reggio Emilia will be very strong. The full list of participants of the 54th edition was sent to us:

Vassily Ivanchuk (UKR, 2775)
Hikaru Nakamura (USA, 2758)
Vugar Gashimov (AZE, 2757)
Nikita Vitiugov (RUS, (2729)
Fabiano Caruana (ITA, 2727)
Anish Giri (NED, 2714)
 
These 6 players will play a double round robin from December 27th to January 6th in the city of Reggio Emilia in Italy. It will be a Category-20 event.
 
This year for the first time in Reggio Emilia (and Italy) there will also be a women closed tournament simultaneously. The list of participants will be announced soon.

Nakamura has an extraordinarily busy schedule coming up - Tal Mem. in Nov., RE in Dec., and Wijk An Zee in Jan. I'd be a little worried about burnout come Jan. Can't imagine Garry will be too happy about that...

You forgot London in (early) December ... . And indeed, in the big New in Chess interview Nakamura said "I was actually told [by Kasparov, so I presume] not to play in Reggio".
