    Tough cookies.

We are going to get the right answers after the competition is over, right?

Peter, do you accept answers in Excel format? Otherwise it would be quite a lenghthy email ;-)

It´s incredible to achieve a 70% score in this Trivia Quiz – even as a team. I guess I´d be happy with about 10%, without using sources. Nice that question 14 seems to be made especially for me ….. I managed to have these three legends play in a wonderful tournament in 2007! Merry Christmas to all!

  4. René Olthof on December 26th, 2009 01:51

Eric, Peter Doggers left that part of question 14 out in this Chess Vibes version. In my Birthday Quiz it was (also) part of the question and guess what: most of the teams actually knew the answer!

I could build a team which would probably beat the 70% mark of the New In Chess team. People like John Donaldson, Carl-Erik Erlandsson, Ian Rogers and Gerard Welling know so much by heart, it’s always a privilege to observe proofs of their expertise.

The question 13 is written wrongly: 13A, 13B, 13C, 13D? Are they questions or answers?

  6. René Olthof on December 27th, 2009 02:16

Christian, you are right – only one of 13A, 13B, 13C, 13D is true, so they are answers.
