Laurent Fressinet won the rapid tournament at the World Mind Games in Beijing, China. The Frenchman edged out Hikaru Nakamura on tie-break after both players finished on 5.5/7. Magnus Carlsen tops the May 1st FIDE rating list with the same rating as two months ago: 2835. Howevever, his lead has decreased to 10 points as Levon Aronian of Armenia won 5 points to get to 2825.
