Michal Krasenkow won the 42nd Rilton Cup in Stockholm, Sweden. By winning his last two games the Polish grandmaster finished on 7.5/9 while Aleksandr Shimanov and Erwin l'Ami tied for second place with 7 points.

On Sunday Clichy won the French Team Championship in Belfort, France. The team, led by Vassily Ivanchuk, clinched its 11th title ahead of Chalons en Champagne which saw Polish GM Michal Krasenkow scoring 9/10.

Alexander Morozevich won the Vladimir Petrov Memorial in Jurmala, Latvia on Sunday. The Russian grandmaster scored 5/7 and finished half a point clear of Alexei Shirov and Igor Kovalenko.
