Having already won the tournament, Magnus Carlsen was under pressure against Anish Giri in the final round but escaped with a draw, finishing on 10/13, the same score as Garry Kasparov achieved in 1999. Sergey Karjakin beat Wang Hao in the third round of the Tata Steel's A group and is now the sole leader. The Russian grandmaster is the only player at 2.5/3 with two wins and one draw.
