On Friday Humpy Koneru won the Grand Prix in Dilijan, Armenia. The Indian grandmaster scored 8/11 and finished a full point ahead of Anna Muzychuk and Nana Dzagnidze. On Tuesday Ukraine clinched the gold medals at the Women's World Team Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan. The team, consisting of Kateryna Lagno, Anna Ushenina, Mariya Muzychuk, Natalia Zhukova and Inna Yanovska-Gaponenko, won seven matches and drew two to reach 16 match points.
