A game that deserved more

4 October 2006 11:18 AM

As was promised earlier, we would get back to the weekend tournament of Apeldoorn, mid-September, because of the very interesting game Ernst-Van Delft. In the meantime I analysed this game, which unfortunately came to an end too quickly when I blundered terribly.

Ernst-Van Delft
Apeldoorn (4), 2006

Apeldoorn (4), 2006

Take this position for example, where Black has just played Rf8-f3.

That looks good now doesn’t it.

The game, with annotations, can be replayed over here.
