In Gibraltar! - video toegevoegd

Corus is nog niet afgelopen of ChessVibes is alweer aanwezig op het volgende grote toernooi voor video reports.

Er zijn snellere manieren om in de UK te komen, maar ik ben vanmorgen vroeg in het vliegtuig gestapt, destination Malaga, en vervolgens met bus en auto Spanje weer uit en Gibraltar in gereden. Hier ga ik (video)verslag doen van de het Gibtelecom Chess Festival waarover al twee artikelen tijdens Corus gepubliceerd zijn.

Nog maar enkele uurtjes in het Caleta Hotel heb ik al vele Britse grootheden ontmoet, zoals Stewart Reuben (al decennia lang de aartsvader van het Britse toernooileven, organiseerde ondere andere de Hastings- en Lloyds Bank-toernooien), John Saunders (hoofdredacteur van British Chess Magazine, blogger en hier content manager van de website) en Stuart Conquest (GM, woonachtig in Zuid-Spanje en spreekt vlekkeloos Spaans, maar doet hier zijn webcommentaar in de taal van het land waar we zitten).

Voor meer algemene informatie over het toernooi verwijs ik naar de eerdere artikelen (zie onder); voor nu verlaat ik weer even de perskamer om wat extra beelden te gaan schieten. Stay tuned dus voor meer video’s deze week!

    Peter,

    Waar haal je toch al die tijd vandaan om al die videoreports te gaan maken overal ter wereld? Heb je zo’n inschikkelijke baas ofzo ;)

    In ieder geval leuk om dit toernooi ook weer op een mooie manier te kunnen volgen!

    Keep up the good work. Your coverage of Corus 2008 once again was absolutely convincing. Your website used to be an interesting alternative to the big ones. This has changed. By now, Chessvibes is no longer an alternative, it’s first choice.

    Great work Peter, you really caught the gibraltar ‘vibe’- it brought back memories of being there and made me want to be there again. The soundtracks are definitely a good idea- the last time I heard that one I was watching Forest Gump!
