GM Erwin l’Ami analyses… l’Ami-Ninov

Erwin l'AmiFrom now on, at Chessvibes I will publish an analysed game every once in a while for you. The first game is from BĂ©thune, where I, to prepare for Corus, played an open tournament from the 26th till the 30th of December. Nine rounds, and thus two games a day, made it a tough tournament where I wasn’t convicing enough. In the rounds 1 till 8 I made four draws against players varying between 2400 and 2550. So six out of eight, but a win in the last round still kept the tournament victory in sight. This had to be done against Ninov, a strong master from Bulgaria. I’m looking forward to your comments on the following analysis!

    Hoi Erwin, mooie analyse. Ik heb 1 vraagje: je schrijft op zet 23 dat Tf1! verhindert dat zwart het centrum aantast. Ik vraag me af of zwart daarom niet 21…f6!? had kunnen spelen. Immers na 22.e6 volgt alsnog Ld5 zoals in de partij, en ook 22.exf6+ Dxf6 lijkt nog wel te gaan voor zwart. Of is het feit dat er na 21…f6 nog lopers op het bord staan, voldoende reden voor zwart om de stelling sowieso niet te willen openen? Of zie ik nog iets anders over het hoofd?

    Goeie suggestie inderdaad. Ik dacht eigenlijk dat wit na 21…f6 22.e6 altijd groot voordeel heeft maar dat valt toch tegen. Ter illustratie van de pech die er in de stelling zit, de variant: 22…Ld5 23.Tg3!? (met het idee om of over de c-lijn te verdubbelen en bunnen te komen op de 7e rij of Te3 te spelen en daarna een loper op d7 te zetten met Lb5-d7) 23…b5 24.Lxd5 Txd5 25.Tc3 Tfd8 26.Tdc1 (probeert over de c-lijn te winnen) 26…Txd4 27.Tc7 T4d7! 28.Txd7 Txd7 29.exd7 Dxe2 30.d8D De3+! en zwart wint! Toch moet wit beter staan na bijvoorbeeld 24.Lb3 (ipv 24.Lxd5) 24…Tfe8 25.Te3, de vrijpionnen zijn goed verdedigd en wit kan een tweede front openen met h2-h4. Maar, toegegeven, heel makkelijk om verder te komen is het niet.

    Congratulations!It was a nice game!…it was a pity that you didn’t win the tournament:((…
    by the way I couldn’t see the variation with Kf4-e5+,Ke4-Ra4+,Kf5-Rf4+ and now Kg5 wins…finnaly it wasn’t a good variation??
