Press conference Radjabov

16 January 2007 7:28 AM

After the third round, again a press conference took place, this time by the winner of the fascinating game Shirov-Radjabov. It’s already Radja’s second win with his King’s Indian at Corus, and so he confirms that the opening is still not refuted at top level. His explanation to the journalists was of an even higher level than Topalov’s yesterday, because Radja is not just showing a lot, but he’s also mentioning a lot of incomprehensible lines verbally. A true joy for the analysts among us.

Mark my words… Radja will win the world championship very soon. and, if certain other players fail to improve their game (whilst Radja improves his) he will hold the title for a long, long time. unreal the way he analyses at 19.

Very interesting, Radjabov assumes 2600 level present in the audience! Probably nobody understood more than 10% from what he said…

Well, it wasn’t thát bad (most journo’s are reasaonable players themselves) but let’s say we followed half of what he said? ;-)

GM Mikhail Golubev just informed me that he added the two Radjabov games from Corus to his special blog about the King’s Indian. I’d say: check it out!

Most excellent. Radjabov is showing us the ropes in this game.

Shirov…tienes que mejorarte si quieres ganar partidas en el futuro. Fuerza y suerte
