[lang_en]Kamsky has won his White game against Shirov, the second game of the FIDE Word Cup Final 2007, after he drew the first game with Black yesterday. These guys have two things in common: they’re 1.e4-players and they both won’t participate in Corus this year.
In a very interesting game Shirov went down in a difficult ending with mutual timetrouble, where Kamsky played very strongly.

lovely position!
Kamsky - ritmeester!
somehow this match looks like the beginning of
the topalov-karmnik matcch (without any attempt to match players personalities)
I believe Kamsky will win the Cup.
It is arduous to regain the advantage in a short match. He can equalize the match and this demands a big work too.
Barnard.
Anybody knows hoe many games are the final?
Just 4 with a “classical” amount of time, Pedro
4
Shirov’s revenge will be sweet.
I think Shirov also play 1.d4 regularly . Remember his famous co invation the g4 variation of the Slav!
Same goes to Kamsky, he always like the Torre Attack 1.d4 ..Nf5… Bg5 setup before especially in his youth but of course now he play more standard opening in top level match and 1.e4 dominated his opening repoitore!
Gata Kamsky is the middlegame king. Becoming a serious candidate to Anand or Kramnik.
I believe kramnik.
With a minimal advantage, but Kramnik.
In this future match, Kramnik will win.
B.
Kamsky often played the London system too (1.d4, 2.Af4, 3Nf3), maybe to avoid main stream theoretical clash.
He is impressive in middlegame and won many games in drawish position in the past.
I like alot his style.
