Radjabov hadn’t won a game yet in Morelia, but yesterday he beat Magnus Carlsen. The other three games were drawn.

Radjabov - Carlsen 1-0
Topalov - Anand ½-½
Aronian - Leko ½-½
Ivanchuk - Shirov ½-½

la victoria de Radjabov es muy curiosa porque un solo movimiento que no parece tan malo Bb6 le derrumba la posición.
Las tabals de ivanchik - shirov son otra decepcion , un poco mas de lucha por favor.

Aronian - Leko is the most interesting draw I saw in the last few months. It’s really impressive how fast and accurate Leko is calculating even when he is under heavy time trouble. 30min for 31 moves!

I like it that Leko is praised, even though Aronian gave us quite a special novelty. It’s not never to forget the one who has to defend a brilliant novelty!
(Also, see for example the game Kasparov-Anand, the famous Ruy Lopez that Kasparov won in their match in ‘95. People always said it was brilliant preparation by Kaspy, but somehow they forgot that Anand found Kasparov’s computer main line *behind the board*! Personally, I think that was an even bigger achievement, even though Anand lost the game in the end.)

Agreed, but he got tired in that game, and he is on the last place now. I’m terribly sorry for him, he makes good moves on the board, but lets his time run out.

Got something to say?
