   Anybody get everything Rowson said?

   I missed some stutff about:

   - what was that about family tournament – family members not allowed? some of that was garbled for me.

   - what was that about the tournament being a victim of its own success? I also missed some of that.

   Thanks to anybody who can clear it up for me!

   I have your same listening comprehensin problems. I’ve transcribed what I could hear, hoping a genuine UK reader (or maybe Jonathan himself?) will correct my mistakes.

   Btw, a special thank for the De Andre’ song. He’s one of the best and most missed Italian singer-songwriters.

   Hi Peter, just saw the video again and it’s a really good job- you are setting high standards for a new art form!
   Anybody wondering about the content of the speech should keep in mind that when speaking publically in italy, you have to pause after every 3-4 sentences for the translation, and Peter has to edit that out so the pace and tempo of the recordings might sometimes mean that some of the implicit/contextual meaning is lost.
   For my part, I probably shouldn’t have said that line about the tournament being a victim of its own success, becuase it gives a negative impression- what I reallly meant to say is that everybody who goes there wants to go back, and usually wants to bring their friends and family too! (so sooner of later the tournament will have to find a way to accommodate the new demand.)
   Keep up the good work!

    Peter,
    although an organizer is always proud of whatever relates to his “creature”, I must admit that I am simply moved every time I come across your video (and I do so very often, as I show it to all my friends!). I am so glad that our little Sardinian tournament has inspired one of your best videos ever that I cannot but publicly invite you back in 2009…

    More so, I should recommend all serious organizers to take real interest in Peter’s excellent work: he is really the best value for your money – guaranteed!

    Lastly, I don’t know if this is really an improvement on what Janis already picked up, but here is my understanding of Jonathan’s speech:

    OK, I guess it’s my turn then. Thank you Yuri, Stefano, and all the others that have contributed to a warm, personal and at the same time very professionally organized 2. Festival Capo d’Orso. I guess recommending this tournament to all chess fans is something I already did… And normally speaking I’d be glad to return to Sardinia next year!
