Lots of Australian chess videos

One of the strongest tournaments of Australia, the Doeberl Cup, was won by GM Varuzhan Akobian, before Zhang Zong and Surya Ganguly. These tournament organizers are also into chess 2.0 because they made lots of nice videos as well.

My congratulations to Armenian-American champion of Doeberl Cup. And i guess very nice beginning of the year for Armenians from all over the world - Levon Aronian and Sergei Movsesian winners of Corus A, B, Aronian again in Amber, Nice, and Varuzhan here in Australia.

While I appreciate the effort GM Rogers’ annotations are wasted due to the poor resolving demo board, videos unwatchable. The other videos are good though.

My goodness, if I knew GM Rogers was giving commentary I would have sponsored him a proper board….what a pitty!

Actually, I think the board is not all that bad compared to the wooden pieces they dropped all the time at Corus.
If I see room for improvement it is that next time the cameraperson can zoom in more, so we can discriminate between pawns and bishops better.
Apart from that I think IGM Rogers is handy with the pieces and gives solid and entertaining commentary.
All in all, I liked it a lot!

Got something to say?
