Corus Chess and Studies Day on Saturday, January 31st
The Corus Chess and Studies Day will be held on Saturday, January 31st in De Moriaan in Wijk aan Zee (The Netherlands) as part of Corus Chess Tournament and in collaboration with ARVES.
Schedule
11.00-14.00: Open solving tourney for original studies of various difficulty levels with a prize fund of 750 Euros . Special prizes for newcomers and for youth solvers; courtesy Harold van der Heijden.
Entry fee: 15 Euros; Arves members, and u-20 youth: 10 Euros. Title holders: free
Former world solving champion GM John Nunn, Dutch champion GM Dolf Wissman and Belgian champion IM Eddy van Beers, world expert Harold van der Heijden and chess journalists Lex Jongsma, Hans B??hm and Ren?© Olthof are among the participants.
New solvers are warmly welcome!
14.00-17.00: Watching the penultimate round of the world’s most famous chess tournament live with GM commentary.
17.30: Prize giving and introduction of the solutions. Presentation of the booklet of Corus-70 Composing Tourney which will be given to all participants.

Just saw the last week study... ouch. Amazing how restricted was that rook at the end. The board isn't that big sometimes.
