Solving problems and playing chess in front of a screen is not my cup of tea; I prefer these old fashion wooden pieces and a real chessboard. Ok, I admit this doesn’t help my all the time in finding the right moves – usually I miss a lot of nice in-between-moves and beautiful recourses- but I enjoy it nevertheless.
I just finished my private print-out of “111 brilliant chess studies selected by Yochanan Afek.” This is my 3rd chessbook on studies: The first was an old funny one in German by Milescu/Staudte, the second was Kasparians “magnus opus” in Russian, which unfortunately get lost with some of my luggage at the airport.
I just want to say a big “Thank you” to Mr. Afek and chessvibes!
