Besides, white has a winning material advantage if pawn e2 falls as black can build no fortress. 3. Rg8+, Kh7 4. Rg7+, Kh6 5. f8Q. Now the black king is in a mating net. What is more important, the white rook can be used to parry checks and give check with one and the same move, allowing white to take over. 5..., e1Q+ 6. Kd7! White stays on the opposite color as the queen, avoiding diagonal checks. (After 6. Kd8, Qa5+ 7. Rc7+, Kg5 things aren't clear yet.) 6..., Qd2 (hoping to bring in the rook) 7. Kc8!, Rc1+ 8. Kb8 and the white king is safe. Black loses after 8..., Qh2+ 9. Rg3+ and white mates.

Where is the solution of 2 weeks ago (number 132) ? This one is from 4 weeks ago.

Isn't it better to play 3. Rh6+ instead of Rg8+ (Kg5) so you can move your rook to e6 to threaten to take on e2 and threat to play f8/q
