too straightforward and simple-
1.Rf8 g5+ 2.Kf3 g4+ 3.Kf2 g3+
(without these checks, black couldn't take on a7- there's Ra8#)
4.Kf3 g2 5.a8(Q) b1(Q) 6.Qc8+ Kh2
[ 6...Ka5 7.Rf4+ Kg5 8.Qf5+ Kh6 9.Rh4+ +-]
7.Qc7+ !! ( the point!)
(7...Rxc7 8.Ra8 mate - 1-0)
7...Kh1 8.Qxh7+ Qh2 9.Qxh2+ Kxh2 10.Kf2!
(idea Rh8#) so 10...Kh3 11.Rf3+ Kg4 12.Rxh3 1-0

7. Qc7+ Rxc7 8. Rh8+ Rh7? The queen is still at b1?

Ra8 mate? Queen on b1? Would you guys like letters and numbers next to the board? Nice study. Simple but pretty study Mr Afek. Thanks for your column.
