in solution to 270 why can't black play 7... Qg2

I would say it is very unlikely that white will lose after 7... Qg2 8 Nhg3+, when all white pieces cover eachother and the g-pawn is blocked. And it looks unlikely that the white king can be separated from the other white pieces so that it can be mated. Losing the g-pawn will lead in 99% of the cases to a table base draw.
You should give at least a hint of a black winning plan if you want a more extensive answer.
